Calvin Royal Poster

This beautiful poster of Calvin Royal, Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theater was inspired by one of his Instagram reels. I asked him if I could use the image to create a painting of him and he very happily agreed. He now has this very poster hanging in his New York apartment!

Later, he messaged me to say: “Oh my gosh, you captured my essence so beautifully. Thanks for seeing us [male ballet dancers] and creating a space for us to exist in the visual arts world.
