Fun With Flowers in Watercolour, 18th July, 10-3 £60

Discover the joy of painting flowers in a relaxed and playful watercolour workshop designed for beginners and those who would like to loosen up their watercolour technique. Fun With Flowers is not about precise botanical illustration, but about exploring colour, movement, imagination, and expressive floral forms in a beautiful and encouraging atmosphere.

Through guided exercises and creative experimentation, you’ll learn enjoyable techniques for creating vibrant, whimsical floral paintings full of personality and charm. Whether you are completely new to watercolour or simply looking to loosen up and try something fresh, this workshop offers a welcoming space to play, explore, and create.

All materials are provided — just bring your curiosity and enjoy an inspiring few hours immersed in colour and flowers.

Goldfinch Illumination 29th August 10-4

Step into the world of Renaissance art and discover the beauty of traditional miniature illumination in this immersive one-day workshop.

Using authentic techniques and materials, you will learn how to create a Renaissance-style illuminated miniature using real gold leaf and gouache paints. Throughout the day, you will explore the delicate skills that bring these historic paintings to life: applying genuine gold leaf, building rich layers of gouache to create depth and luminosity, and developing fine brushwork to elevate detail and finish.

This workshop is suitable for those with some previous painting experience and for anyone who has attended one of my painting or calligraphy workshops before. It is not designed for complete beginners.

All materials are included, including real gold leaf, allowing you to experience the craftsmanship and artistry of historical illumination techniques. Join me for a day of careful craftsmanship, traditional techniques, and the timeless beauty of Renaissance miniature painting.

All materials are provided, including 23 carat gold leaf. £80.00
